For arrivals from 1 April 2027, the official Disney Holidays FAQ confirms four Disneyland Paris meal plans: Essential, Extra, Signature and Royal. Royal is exclusive to Disneyland Hotel guests. Confirmation of the names and start date does not publish prices, full benefits or restaurants for every market: check the official quote for your stay.

What is confirmed and what is not: The official FAQ for arrivals from 1 April 2027 confirms the four names and that Royal is exclusive to Disneyland Hotel guests. We do not copy prices or third-party tables as if they were official: check price, vouchers, restaurants, supplements, ages and conditions in the applicable sales channel.

The previous plans — Standard, Plus, Extra Plus and Premium — are useful only as historical context. Do not use them to infer equivalents for Essential, Extra, Signature or Royal: the product applying from 1 April 2027 is different, and the specific terms must be read in the offer.

Quick answer: what is confirmed

  • Officially confirmed for arrivals from 1 April 2027: the four plans are called Essential, Extra, Signature and Royal.
  • Officially confirmed: Royal is exclusive to Disneyland Hotel guests.
  • No official price published here: we do not treat third-party figures, percentages or tables as valid when they do not appear in the applicable primary source.
  • Check in your quote: meals, vouchers, drinks, restaurants, supplements, ages, validity and market- and hotel-specific terms.

What the official FAQ has confirmed for arrivals from April 2027

The most relevant source is not a rumour or an agency table. It is the official Disneyland Paris Hotel + Tickets booking engine. Its public content includes a note about comparing the new plans with menus bought directly at selected restaurants.

The note compares the public euro price of an adult set menu bought at the restaurant — starter, main course and dessert, or buffet with a soft drink — with the value of the equivalent meal voucher. It also warns that on-site prices can change and that conversions into other currencies can vary.

This is not a list of participating restaurants. The associations above show only which restaurant Disney uses as the benchmark in that note. They do not prove that a plan is limited to that venue, that it will be included without a supplement or that the four tiers will have cumulative catalogues.

The booking engine bases those comparisons on prices in force on 2 September 2026. This suggests Disney is preparing a product update, but it does not mean that sales or the new plans will start on that date.

What changes compared with arrivals through March 2027

Context documented on 29 August 2026 on the official Disneyland Paris meal-plans page. Always check the terms that apply to your dates.

For arrivals before 1 April 2027, the documented offer used Half Board and Full Board with Standard, Plus, Extra Plus and Premium tiers. From that date, the official FAQ presents Essential, Extra, Signature and Royal. Do not infer automatic equivalents: compare the specific coverage in your quote.

Option documented on 29 AugustDocumented terms; reconfirm for your stay — 29-08-2026
Half BoardFor a one-night, two-day stay, Disney’s example gives each guest one breakfast voucher and one voucher for lunch or dinner.
Full BoardCovers breakfast, lunch and dinner according to the vouchers and conditions of the tier selected.
StandardWith Full Board, one daily meal — lunch or dinner — must be taken at a quick-service restaurant.
PlusA current tier with its own restaurant selection; availability depends on the hotel and package.
Extra PlusCurrently available only with Full Board and subject to specific terms, including a snack/drink and one character-dining experience per stay according to the official page.
PremiumThe current broadest tier; character-dining experiences depend on the available lunch or dinner vouchers.

The available plan depends on the Disney Hotel and arrival date. The previous offer is useful as context, but it does not show what coverage each new tier will have. For arrivals from April 2027, use the specific FAQ and the quote breakdown.

If you book through a travel agent or another third party, Disney advises asking that seller for the exact plan details. Do not assume that the explanation for individual direct bookings transfers unchanged to every sales channel.

Meal vouchers: system documented on 29 August 2026

Facts about the current product help explain the general system, although they do not guarantee that a future structure will work in the same way. Vouchers are loaded onto your MagicPass, either digitally on your phone or on the physical card supplied at reception. You can check the balance in the official app or on the television in your room.

Subject to the plan’s eligibility rules, vouchers can be used at participating restaurants in both Disney Parks, the Disney Hotels and Disney Village. A table booking is separate: holding a voucher does not reserve a time or guarantee availability.

Restaurant typeContents documented on 29 August
Table serviceStarter, main course and dessert. The children’s menu also includes a soft drink.
All-you-can-eat buffetBuffet and a soft drink.
Quick serviceMain course, side dish and soft drink. The children’s menu also includes a dessert.

If the bill is higher than the voucher value, you pay the difference. If it is lower, you do not receive the remaining balance in cash. Disney allows the current vouchers to be used on the day you choose during your stay; that describes the existing vouchers and should not be used to predict how future plans will be allocated.

The official exclusion list checked on 29 August named McDonald’s, Rainforest Cafe, The Royal Pub, Starbucks, Earl of Sandwich, Five Guys, Brasserie Rosalie and Vapiano. Check the participation list again before travelling because it can change. Our guide to Disneyland Paris restaurants helps you choose by location, style and available time.

Breakfast, children under three and special dates — 29-08-2026

Breakfast is not generally included in the room price. The official page identifies exceptions for certain Club and Deluxe categories: Empire State Club, Compass Club, Golden Forest Club, Castle Club and Deluxe rooms. At Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, breakfast is supplied in a takeaway basket.

Breakfast, children under three and special dates — 29-08-2026

There is no meal plan for children under three. They can share their parents’ food or have food purchased at the listed price. For all other ages, check the child category shown in your quote rather than relying on an unofficial table.

Stays covering 24 or 31 December may have special meal-plan conditions and festive menus. If you travel on either date, ask for explicit confirmation before comparing the plan cost with an ordinary dinner.

Character dining: terms documented on 29 August

Plaza Gardens: check its reopening before planning a meal. Disneyland Paris announced work from April 2026 until early 2027 and a reopening in 2027, without a specific day. Do not assume the restaurant or its character breakfast will be available on your dates until it is shown as open and bookable. The announcement does not confirm inclusion in a 2027 meal plan.

The existing range does explain how it treats certain character experiences:

  • Premium: allows as many experiences as the available lunch or dinner vouchers permit, subject to the applicable conditions.
  • Extra Plus: includes one character-dining experience per stay.
  • Plus or Standard: do not include it; you can book separately, or use a voucher and pay the relevant supplement, subject to the restaurant’s rules.

Character breakfasts at Plaza Gardens Restaurant and l’Auberge de Cendrillon were not included in the information checked on 29 August in any plan. Disney recommends booking in advance and warns that prices and availability vary by restaurant and menu.

None of this proves that Royal will include a particular number of character meals. Its name and the use of La Table de Lumière as a benchmark suggest premium positioning, but this review could not revalidate the final benefits.

What we still do not know about Essential, Extra, Signature and Royal

Verify for your stay:
  • The price of each plan and any difference between adult and child rates.
  • The number of meals, breakfasts, drinks, snacks or extras included.
  • The complete restaurant list and any supplements.
  • Eligible hotels, packages, markets and sales channels.
  • Child age bands and treatment of children under three.
  • The relationship between the four new names and Standard, Plus, Extra Plus or Premium.
  • MagicPass rules, validity and use during the stay.
  • The commercial launch date and the stays to which the plans will apply.

It cannot be stated that Essential will replace Standard, Extra will replace Plus, Signature will replace Premium or Royal will simply be a higher tier. Nor is there public evidence that the restaurant catalogues will be cumulative. These are plausible possibilities, not facts.

Verify for your stay: prices, benefits, ages, hotels, restaurants, vouchers and supplements. The application date — arrivals from 1 April 2027 — and the four names are confirmed.

How to decide whether a meal plan is worthwhile without promising savings

A valid comparison starts with the actual incremental package cost, not an isolated promotional percentage. When the new tiers become available, create two otherwise identical quotes — same hotel, room, tickets, guests and dates — and change only the meal plan.

  1. Record the total difference between the booking without a plan and the booking with one.
  2. Build a realistic itinerary around the restaurants you would try to book, plus alternatives if no table is available.
  3. Add up what your party would order without a plan, using official menus. Do not assign value to starters, desserts or drinks you would not buy.
  4. Add supplements for restaurants or experiences the voucher does not cover in full.
  5. Deduct meals you would not use. An unused voucher, or a meal bought only to ‘get your money’s worth’, is not a saving.
  6. Value predictability separately. Paying something to settle the budget can be reasonable, but it should be called convenience.
The fairest test: compare the plan with your party’s normal behaviour, not with the most expensive menu you could theoretically order. Someone who eats a light breakfast and prefers quick service will get a different result from a family booking buffets and character meals.

The booking-engine note uses benchmark restaurants for its savings examples, but Disney also warns that on-site prices can change. A comparison percentage neither guarantees that every guest will save nor that the benchmark restaurant belongs in your itinerary.

Characters are essential

Wait for the Royal conditions and compare them with paying separately for the experience.

You want breakfast

Confirm whether the room already includes it or how much the applicable plan adds.

Tight budget

Checklist before adding a new meal plan

Minimum checks against an official source:
  • Essential, Extra, Signature or Royal appears as a selectable option in your quote.
  • The total package price with and without the plan, in the same currency and under the same conditions.
  • Meals, breakfasts, drinks or extras included per guest and per stay.
  • The named list of participating restaurants and any supplements.
  • Eligible hotel, room, market and sales channel.
  • Child age bands and the treatment of children under three.
  • MagicPass rules, validity dates and treatment of unused value.
  • Special Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve conditions.
  • A separate table booking has been made.

Save the quote and its associated conditions. Product names may remain the same while restaurants, menus or supplements change. Your booking document takes precedence over any article, comparison site or social-media post.

Conclusion: decide using the quote for your stay

The confirmation of the Essential, Extra, Signature and Royal names does not by itself establish prices, equivalent tiers or included restaurants. For 2027, compare the total for the same hotel and dates with and without a plan, read its terms and book tables separately.

Before paying, save the quote and confirm vouchers, ages, restaurants, supplements and validity dates in writing. If you cannot check these terms, do not infer benefits from the plan name.

Frequently asked questions about the new meal plans

Yes. The official Disney Holidays FAQ for arrivals from 1 April 2027 confirms all four names. It also confirms that Royal is exclusive to Disneyland Hotel guests.

The amount depends on the hotel, dates, occupancy and option offered in the market where you buy. Check the selectable plan and its price, restaurants, vouchers and supplements in the quote terms; this guide does not present third-party figures as official fares.

The technical note documented on 29 August linked Annette’s Diner, The Steakhouse, Downtown Restaurant and La Table de Lumière to savings comparisons. This is not a list of included restaurants; check participating venues and supplements in your stay’s quote.

Information documented on 29 August 2026; not revalidated on 6 September. Current vouchers are loaded onto the MagicPass and can be used, according to the plan, at participating restaurants in the parks, Disney hotels and Disney Village. If the bill exceeds the voucher value, you pay the difference; if it is lower, no cash is returned.

Information documented on 29 August 2026; not revalidated on 6 September. Not as a general rule. Disneyland Paris says breakfast can be added and identifies exceptions for certain Club and Deluxe rooms. Children under three do not have their own meal plan.

No. The result depends on the actual package price and the meals your party would otherwise buy. A meal plan is also separate from a restaurant booking and does not guarantee availability.
