Xcaret: The Cultural Park of the Riviera Maya

Xcaret deserves special mention. It is not a conventional amusement park but a unique cultural and natural experience: underground rivers, coral reefs, sea turtles, Mayan ruins and the impressive México Espectacular night show. It is in Playa del Carmen and it is recommended to spend the entire day there (the park closes late, the show starts at 7:00 p.m.).

KidZania: Learn by Playing

KidZania has a presence in several cities in Mexico (CDMX, Monterrey, Guadalajara) and is perfect for children from 4 to 12 years old. Children "work" in more than 100 themed establishments—hospital, bank, airport, TV—and earn their own currency to spend inside. An educational and fun experience very different from adrenaline parks.
